What is Scarlet Lite?

Scarlet Lite is a minimally-invasive skin tightening treatment designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and acne scars, in addition to improving skin texture and firmness. This is achieved by utilising fractional microneedle radio frequency (RF) technology to remodel the collagen and elastin in the skin.

How Does It Work?

Scarlet Lite was developed by Dr Na Jongju, Korea’s leading dermatologist, to overcome the limitations of conventional radio frequency (RF) treatments. Scarlet RF treatment works by precisely delivering RF energy into the lower layers of the dermis using microneedles.

The microneedle work head is first placed on the skin’s surface, where microneedles will then penetrate the skin. The needle penetration depth is customisable and ranges from 0.5mm to 3.5mm, depending on the target area. RF energy is then directed to the target areas to stimulate the regeneration of collagen and elastin.

Scarlet Lite RF treatment results in improved collagen levels and remodelled dermal elastic fibres, restoring the skin’s laxity and skin tone. It softens fine lines and wrinkles, leading to a younger-looking appearance. This skin tightening procedure is also used to reduce acne scarring, pore size, eyelid and under-eye sagging, and more.

Safety & Side Effects

As Scarlet Lite is a non-surgical treatment, the risks are minimal to none. Patients may experience swelling and redness after the treatment, but this will subside within the hour. Some micro-crusting (darkened skin) may occur, but it is usually resolved after 3-7 days.
